An innovative project wants people in East Dunbartonshire who are interested in sharing their experiences of dementia to come forward.
The Dementia Voices Group, run by East Dunbartonshire Council and its partners give people the opportunity to discuss specific issues or concerns they face on a daily basis. The group is now looking at new ways people with dementia can have their voices heard.
This includes speaking at events, taking part in groups, helping to record stories, developing newsletters, radio programmes
and social media opportunities.
If you are living with dementia and would like to have the opportunity to have your voice heard contact Karen Heath at Ceartas on 0141 775 0433.
Councillor Michael O’Donnell, Convenor of Social Work, said, “East Dunbartonshire has been praised for its partnership approach and innovative work with over 2,000 people in the area with dementia.”
