Jewellery worth thousands stolen 
in house break-in

Police are hunting for thieves who broke into two houses in Bishopbriggs and made off with a high value haul.

Both break-ins happened on Saturday, January 10.

In the first incident a house in Meadowburn was broken into, some time between 10am on the Saturday and 2am on Sunday.

Police say that a quantity of jewellery, worth several thousand pounds, was taken.

The second incident in Cloan Crescent, Bishopbriggs, occurred within the same timescale, and the household had a Macbook stolen.

It is not known whether the incidents are the work of one or more person, or if they are related.

A police spokesperson said: If anyone has any information regarding these break-ins, or if they saw anyone acting suspiciously in the areas concerned, please get in touch.’’
