Steve Phillips And The Rough Diamonds are going to perform at Milngavie Folk Club; The Fraser Centre on Saturday, October 29.
Steve Phillips is one of life’s gentlemen. He cheerfully describes himself as a “Blues Singer/Guitarist, Landscape Painter, Keen Woodworker, And A Bit Of A Dandy” and he revels in the notion of being semi-famous.
During the 1960s ‘British Blues Boom’ he accidentally met up with a young guitarist named Mark Knopfler. Mark was then working as a junior reporter on the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £15 and they are available from from Art Forum, Haydock Music shop, both in Milngavie, or phone 07743 885991 or email JMSCONCERTS.CO.UK.
