A LENZIE lawyer is lighting up the screen on ITV’s smash hit dating show ‘Take Me Out’.

Katie Roach (30), from Lenzie, has been one of the contestants on the dating show for the last nine weeks.

The former Lenzie Moss Primary pupil was chosen from over 12,000 applicants to appear on the show after her friend filled out an application form for her.

Katie, who currently works as a business development manager, said: “I’ve loved the whole experience.”

She added: “The girls are amazing and Paddy is a really lovely guy and very funny. It’s been an amazing opportunity.”

The current series of the show is set to finish this weekend. It was filmed in November last year and Katie is keeping tight-lipped about whether she does find love in the final episode.

She added: “I can’t ruin the ending!”
