A RECESSION-hit charity shop has launched an appeal for donation after its stock room was left ‘practically empty’.

Ruby McGregor, manager of Cancer Research UK in Cowgate, Kirkintilloch, says the shop has seen a serious drop in custom during the last year and is currently having to source donations from other sources.

The store is now asking residents for donatinos to re-stock the shelves and help provide the vital funds needed for the charity’s valuable work.

Ruby said: “It’s the worst it’s been in a while and we need to get it sorted.”

To donate items drop them into the shop or call 0141 775 0655 to arrange an uplift.
