Kind-hearted shoppers have pulled out all the stops to give local youngsters a Christmas to remember.
The annual Christmas Toy Appeal was launched by the Regent Shopping Centre in Kirkintilloch at the beginning of December, and last week centre staff packed three trolleys with toys to be handed over to East Dunbartonshire Council’s Social Work department.
The toys will be distributed in time for Christmas Day to local families and youngsters who may be going through a difficult spell and in need of a little support.
Regent Centre manager Angela McLaren said: “I would like to thank everyone for their generosity. The appeal still has a few more days to go, so people can still make a donation and help make it a happy Christmas for even more children in the Kirkintilloch area.”
Anyone wishing to make a donation can drop toys off in the Regent Centre in the special area at the top of the stairs.
