Kirkintilloch store manager takes the plunge ... 9,000ft straight down!

SHE’S a familiar face at Sainsbury’s in Kirkintilloch but daredevil Carol Gardner swapped uniform for a jumpsuit as she completed a sky dive for charity.

Carol Gardner leapt from a plane in aid of the store’s chosen charity, Whizz-Kids, which helps disabled children.

Carol jumped from 9,000ft after being challenged by one of her colleagues.

She said: “I thought why not as it’s always something I wanted to do. I was completely nervous. The fact that you are attached to someone else helps, but there’s still that feeling of, what if I do something wrong.

“I’m really glad I did it and to raise almost £1,000 is fantastic.

“The charity has used the money to buy a wheelchair.”
