Lenzie BB go on parade with the Lord High Commissioner in Edinburgh

1st Lenzie Company, The Boys’ Brigade were invited to take part in the Lord High Commissioner’s Parade at the General Assembly 2015 in Edinburgh, and showcased the organisation in the Scottish capital.

Seven boys and three members of staff took part with the Boys meeting His Grace, Lord Hope The Lord High Commissioner, Moderator Rev Dr Angus Morrison, heads of the HM Armed Forces and other members of the clergy.

The morning parade to St Giles was accompanied by over 125 boys, officers and band members.

After the church parade and service the boys took part in the Heart and Soul Event in Princes Street Gardens. The boys yet again rubbed shoulders with dignitaries including Lord Hope and Bill Stevenson, director of BB Scotland, before having a well earned evening off.

A spokesman said: “After a long day of parading and advertising the BB it was time for dinner!

“A good day was had by all and a very big congratulations and well done to all the boys who took part representing 1st Lenzie BB.”
