A thief steals a bike - picture posed by model

A THIEF cycled off on a bike – after he stole it from outside a pub in Bishopbriggs.

The black and silver Trek bike – worth £1,400 – was taken from outside the Crow Tavern pub, in Kirkintilloch Road, on Friday, October 12, at around 6.20pm.

The suspect was aged around 15 to 18-years-old, around 5ft 8ins tall and was wearing a green hooded top, jeans and white trainers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0141 532 4400.

Meanwhile, a 16-year-old boy has been charged with prowling in gardens in Bishopbriggs. He was arrested in Stuart Drive on Sunday, October 14, at around 1am.

A man broke into a house in Kirkintilloch. He forced open the conservatory door to the property in St Columba Drive, in Kirkintilloch, on Monday, October 15, at around 3.50am.

He was disturbed by the householder and made-off. The suspect was around 5ft 8ins tall, had a scarf covering his face, was wearing a dark hooded jacket, jeans and black gloves.
