Beating bogus callers will be focus at cop talks
Bogus Callers
BOGUS caller-related crime can affect any member of the community and can have a profound effect on the victim.
Local police officers within East Dunbartonshire have organised a series of talks to discuss in a relaxed, friendly environment a wide range of issues surrounding bogus callers and associated crime.
These talks also include personal safety advice and information on preventing cold calling via telephone and receiving unwanted mail.
The free talks will take place within the following venues:
* Bishopbriggs – Monday, March 4, at 6.30pm – Woodhill Evangelical Church, Wester Cleddens Road, Bishopbriggs.
* Kirkintilloch – Tuesday, March 5, at 6.30pm – St Columba’s Parish Church, Auld Aisle Road, Kirkintilloch.
* Milngavie – Thursday, March 7 at 6.30pm – Fraser Centre, Douglas Street, Milngavie.
Tea and coffee will be provided and all are welcome.
