‘Blood everywhere’ – police race to doctor’s surgery in Kirkintilloch
POLICE rushed to a doctors surgery after receiving reports that a man had entered with serious injuries.
Patients watched in horror as the man staggered into the Regent Gardens Medical Centre on Union Street around 1.45pm today (Friday) covered in blood.
One eyewitness said: “There was blood everywhere.”
The front of the health centre was cordoned off and guarded by a police officer (pictured), who asked patients with appointments to access the surgery via the back door.
A police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a report of a 28-year-old man with serious injuries at a doctors surgery in Union Street, Kirkintilloch.”
Police also confirmed he was taken to Glasgow’s Royal Infirmary by ambulance and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
