Benefits cheat pocketed more than £37k over nine years

A SWINDLER who cheated the public purse of more than £37,000 is facing a possible prison sentence.

Car fires tackled by Kirkintilloch brigade

A CREW from Kirkintilloch Fire Station rushed to a car blaze on the M80, near Mollinsburn, on Saturday, February 4, at around 8.15am.

And two cars were set alight in Woodliee Industrial Estate, in Kirkintilloch, in the early hours of Tuesday, February 7.

An empty unit in the industrial estate was also damaged during the fire.

Police say the unit was a former Arnold Clark depot and the cars had been abandoned.
