Classy boost means school will have outdoor classroom

DELIGHTED pupils will be able to learn in the fresh air thanks to a Lottery win which means a school can create an outdoor classroom.

Auchinloch Parent Council has been given an Awards for All grant of £5,100 to create an outdoor classroom.

The project will enable children to participate in outdoor learning and activities all year round.

Meanwhile, Silver Birch (Scotland) Ltd, based in Milton of Campsie, has been awarded £9,976.

The charity provides work experience and skills development to adults with learning disabilities through social and therapeutic horticulture.

It will use the cash to purchase kitchen equipment to equip their refurbished canteen area.
