Council help for summer clearouts

East Dunbartonshire Council have called for residents to be responsible when clearing bulk waste this summer.

Officials have outlined a number of options for those who are clearing out their garages and tackling their overgrown gardens.

While the council have introduced a £20 charge to collect excess bags of rubbish, furniture, white goods, etc., they remind residents that they can use their free waste and recycling centre at Mavis Valley.

Calling the National Reuse Phone Line 0800 0665 820 will also help find a local charity to donate unwanted bulky items.
