Daredevil cyclists from Bishopbriggs, Kirkintilloch and beyond now have everything they need to help them on the road to becoming the sport’s next superstar.
ED’s Cycle Co-op has launched East Dunbartonshire’s first indoor bike ramp, which will create five part-time posts for young people.
Bike enthusiast Thomas Flockhart is excited to be able to use the facility.
“These indoor bike ramps are great and ED’s Cycle Co-op has done an amazing job with the space and finance available”, said the 15-year-old Bishopbriggs Academpy pupil.
“Being able to ride and volunteer is a dream come true for me, it allows me to do what I love, while building experience at the same time.”
The ramps, at the ED’s Cycle Co-op premises at Huntershill Village, Bishopbriggs, are accessible to all, from three years of age to anyone willing to give it a go. There are BMX bikes and safety equipment for hire as well as experienced and qualified staff on hand.
