Dawn prowler caught lurking in Bishopbriggs

POLICE have collared a man after he was discovered prowling through residential gardens.

The 43-year-old was caught in gardens in Smith Grove, Bishopbriggs, at around 6.30am on Wednesday, October 3.

In a separate incident a teenager has been charged with drinking in public. The 15-year-old was caught with alcohol in Lenzie Road, Kirkintilloch, at around 7.50pm on Saturday.

Later that evening a 27-year-old man was charged with possession of cocaine in Waterside Road, Kirkintilloch.

Meanwhile, police are hunting for a bike thief who struck at a busy railway station.

A grey mountain bike, worth around £150, was taken from the cycle rack at Lenzie Train Station between 10am and 10pm on Friday, October 5.
