Dog poo on path causing a stink

AN angry mum has called on irresponsible dog owners to clean up after their pets after her daughter was left covered in poo.

The resident was walking her children to school when her daughter fell onto dog mess.

The woman says the problem along a path in Waterside, Kirkintilloch, is getting worse.

She said: “The path outside my house is the main path used by dog walkers and has numerous dog mess on it. “Last week when I was taking my children to school my daughter fell onto dog mess, getting her uniform and hand covered in it.

“The mess hadn’t been picked up which was lying next to my gate which in turn made my daughter very upset and us very late for school.”

She added: “I only wish they would concentrate on the residents that don’t pick up their dog mess and would like to see a dog warden in the area giving out fines to those that don’t pick up after their pets.

“Waterside is a lovely area and feel that the dogs mess is dragging it down.”
