“If you are a business within East Dunbartonshire which has achieved outstanding success over the past year then I would encourage you to nominate yourself.

“Also, if you are aware of a local business which you feel deserves some recognition for their growth, development, success and innovation over the last year, then I would also encourage you to submit a nomination on their behalf.”

Jim Holland, Editor of the Kirkintilloch Herald Series and Milngavie & Bearsden Herald - media partners of the awards - has welcomed the chance to highlight local firms.

He said: “The 2014 East Dunbartonshire Business Awards will focus a spotlight on some of the excellent work taking place locally in extremely challenging financial circumstances.

“All of our newspapers are strong supporters of local businesses - established and new, small to large - and the Awards offer a terrific platform for them to shine.”
