Girls' caring birthday wish after find
TWO goldern-hearted schoolgirls who found a birthday card whilst out walking are hoping Herald readers can help them make sure it gets to its intended recipient.
Chloe Craig (11) and her cousin Cara Craig (13) found the card, which contained 10, whilst delivering sweets in Bothlyn Avenue, Kirkintilloch.
The card, which was in a torn pink envelope, was for a girl called Michelle from her aunt.
The youngsters are now desperate to get the card to the girl and make her birthday wish come true.
Chloe said: "We were out delivering sweets, which is our job, when Cara saw a ripped card on the road and, being nosey, we went to see what it was.
"I think someone has opened it and dropped it by mistake.
"We want to find the girl it belongs to because it could have been us in that situation. We want to get it back to her.
"It would not be fair if someone was given this for their birthday and they did not get it back."
If you know who the card belongs to, contact the Herald office on 0141 775 0040.
