Give us the go-ahead to demolish B-listed house!
THE green light is being sought for a controversial new housing development in Kirkintilloch.
Trust Housing Association wants to build new flats and houses - understood to be a total of 34 properties - on the Meiklehill House site, Hillhead.
An application has also been submitted to demolish the B-listed house.
And East Dunbartonshire Council wants to create 14 houses on the Lammermoor Crescent site - a mixture of villas, flats and cottage flats.
Residents and local councillor Jack Young have raised concerns about the development, including that some of the properties will be four storeys high.

Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 04:41 PMWhat's the point of a building being listed only to have an application made for it's demolition! The historic Town Hall next (as with Perth's)! Legalised (yet still wanton) vandalism!
