Golden Jubilee celebrations for primary school
SPECIAL celebrations are being held to mark a school’s 50th anniversary.
Pupils, teachers, staff and parents at Balmuildy Primary in Bishopbriggs have all been involved in marking the special milestone.
Lots of activities and events have been held for the anniversary, including a balloon race, a show featuring the different decades of the school and a strawberry tea for members of the community and others associated with the school.
The PTA also organised a jubilee fair, a party for the children and presented them with a plaque and mugs at an assembly.
Meanwhile, pupils interviewed former pupils and staff as part of their research on the school and put together photos and information which is featured in the foyer.
The project was helped along by Anne Farrow, the Bishopbriggs school’s administration assistant, who is also a former pupil. Her children also attended the school.
