Groups are quids in!
THREE community groups are celebrating after receiving cash boosts from a grants scheme which supports local organisations.
Gartcosh Lunch Club, Little Stars and West of Scotland Arthritis Swimming Club all received money from North Lanarkshire Council's community grants scheme earlier this month.
Councillors give money to projects which they believe benefit the community.
Little Stars in Stepps received 400 to help pay for resources, tuition fee costs and summer trips.
Gartcosh Lunch Club was given 450 to assist with the cost of its summer outing and the West of Scotland Arthritis Swimming Club in Stepps received 200 to pay for lunches.
Strathkelvin councillor Frances McGlinchey said: "I am pleased these groups have secured funding.
"This is what the community grants scheme is all about, it gets people involved in their community and allow groups to provide a service at a grassroots level, where people really need it."
