Guns and thousands of bullets seized from house at the foot of the Campsies
POLICE have confiscated a cache of weapons and bullets from a house in a quiet East Dunbartonshire village.
Residents reported hearing a helicopter and squads of armed officers raiding the property in Hillside Terrace, Milton of Campsie.
A 56-year-old man has been arrested and detained in police custody.
Officers found weapons, along with thousands of rounds of ammunition, when they entered the house, under warrant, at around 7am on Tuesday.
Properties were also search in North Glasgow and Stirling.
Detective Inspector David Perritt said: “This operation should drive home a clear message to anyone involved in this type of crime.”
