Harry Potter fun in Kirkintilloch
SPELLBINDING fun is on offer to budding Harry Potters and Harmione Grangers.
East Dunbartonshire Countryside Rangers are inviting locals along to 'Build a Birch Broom – Harry Potter Style' in Lenzie. The free event takes place on Sunday, Sep. 26, 1.30pm-3.30pm.
A spokesperson said: "Birch trees are being removed from Lenzie Moss to help the bog areas become boggy again. So let's put the birch to good use and make a broom for sweeping leaves or for transporting you to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!"
You can join in any time, with the ranger service and Friends of Lenzie Moss there to help. This event is supported by Scottish Natural Heritage. Follow the signs from the end of Lenzie Railway Station car park.
