Hopes high for revitalised Kirkintilloch Town Hall
Kirkintilloch Town Hall
A DECENT turn-out of people have pledged to help the dream of a rejuvenated Kirkintilloch Town Hall become a reality.
Kirkintilloch Town Hall Preservation Trust held its last AGM on Saturday in Kirkintilloch Miners Welfare.
The town hall has lain empty and forlorn since 2004, but a dedicated band of campaigners never gave up the fight to return it to its former glory.
They celebrated in the summer when the council announced it was finally backing the restoration of the B-listed building.
Now cash is being sought for the £4.75million project – part of an ambitious Kirkintilloch masterplan to regenerate the area.
Campaigners are pledging to keep up the campaign to make the town hall the jewel in Kirkintilloch’s crown again.
