Kind-hearted nurse swings into action for charity
A CARING nurse is preparing for a daredevil stunt to help people who have suffered a stroke.
Ruth Graham will brave ‘The Big Swing’ event from the 150ft Titan Crane over the Clyde river in Clydebank.
The 48-year-old is hoping to raise as much money as she can for the Stroke Association.
Ruth, from Lennoxtown, is a stroke research sister, and is based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and also does some work at Stobhill Hospital.
Ruth is gearing up for the Big Swing on Saturday, March 23. Fundraisers swing from the Titan Crane out over the river.
She said: “I don’t mind heights, it’s for a good cause and it’s something I quite fancy doing.
“I’m feeling brave at the moment, but I’ll wait until the day. It’s a nervous excitement.”
