Legendary village appears in Kirkintilloch!

DON'T bother looking for it on your map or Sat-Nav, but a mythical village will appear in East Dunbartonshire next week, but don't

Brigadoon will be magically transported to Lenzie Academy on September 15, 16 and 17, courtesy of St David's Music Group.

The organisation's annual production will be entertaining audiences next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, at 7.15pm.

A star-studded cast of fantastic singers and performers have been enthusiastically rehearsing since April this year.

The story centres on the adventures of two Americans in Scotland who stray into a timewarp and wind up in the mystical village of Brigadoon.

It features music by Lerner and Leowe – including a host of well-known favourites – and is produced by Bill McCall, who also plays

the lead role.

The show promises all the authentic settings and costumes expected of the accomplished music group.

Tickets are still available – 8 for adults, 4 for children – from the church office between noon and 3pm, or from the Old Sweetie Shop in Kirkintilloch's Cowgate.
