Lenzie Academy to get £1.6m upgrade

PLANS have been announced to introduce a new social area for pupils and to re-vamp the interior of Lenzie Academy.

The 1.6million project will also include improvements to kitchen and dining facilities, the assembly hall, offices and corridors.

A spokesperson for East Dunbartonshire Council said: "The work will take approximately nine months and will not interfere with the school curriculum.

"Before any works start on site, health and safety arrangements will be made to ensure that pupils and teachers are not affected by the construction work."
