Magic role for Bishopbriggs' Steve
LIFE'S a beach for a Bishopbriggs-born magician and actor.
Steve Valentine (43) was born in the town before moving to England as a youngster.
He headed to Los Angeles to seek fame and fortune 20 years ago. Since then he has won roles in some of the biggest shows on US television.
His small screen credits include the hit shows House, Charmed, Boston Legal, Dharma and Greg, and Monk.
Steve has also appeared in a string of Hollywood blockbusters, including Spider-Man 3 and Mars Attacks.
In his latest role he plays Derek Jupiter, the rocking frontman of a struggling heavy metal group called Iron Weasel, in Disney sitcom 'I'm In The Band'.
It marks the start of an exciting year for the star - who will marry his actress girlfriend, Inna Korobkina, in August. He is also set to release his debut novel.
The first in the 20 part series of 'I'm In The Band' made its UK debut on Disney XD channel on Saturday.
