Man injured during disturbance in Kirkintilloch town centre

A 45-year-old man was taken to hospital after being hurt during an incident last night (Monday).

Police were called to a report of a disturbance in Townhead at around 10.40pm.

Roads were closed as investigations were carried out.

The doors to two separate blocks of flats on either side of the street remained cordoned off this morning (Tuesday).

Police said two men - aged 43 and 49 - have been charged in connection with the incident and were due to appear in court today.
