Men try to enter pensioner’s home

Two men were disturbed after trying to break into a pensioner’s home.

The woman heard a noise at her kitchen window and saw the men, aged in their late teens to early 20s, trying to get in the window to the house in Cumbernauld Road, Stepps on Thursday, on March 27, at around 8.40pm.

The men then made-off. Some damage was caused to the window.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a car was stolen by crooks from a garage in Stepps.

A red Chrysler Crossfire was among property stolen from the premises in Cumbernauld Road between 3.30pm on Saturday, March 29, and 5.30am the following morning.

Tools and a steam cleaner were also taken.
