This year’s Bank of Scotland Community Fund can benefit East Dunbartonshire, says local MP Jo Swinson.

The Community Fund will provide grants to support over 200 local good causes in villages, towns and cities across Scotland.

Over 370,000 votes were cast for the 2013 community fund, with over 60,000 people benefitting from an award.

Nominations close on the 30th April 2014 and can be made online at www.bankofscotland.co.uk/communityfund

Ms Swinson is encouraging local residents to apply.

She said: “Around 200 good causes in 50 communities across Scotland will be boosted by the Community Fund this year with grants of up to £3,000, supporting projects and services that make a positive difference to local communities.

“There are so many great causes in East Dunbartonshire that could gain from this Community Fund. I want local people to benefit from the Bank of Scotland’s grants so I encourage local groups to apply.”
