GOLFERS are facing flooded fairways after a drainage tunnel collapsed.
Lenzie Golf Course members saw their practice are covered with water last week after the nearby Gadloch flooded.
It is understood that the cause of the flooding is that the tunnel, which takes water from the Gadloch to the Park Burn, has become blocked.
Members received an e-mail from club secretary Scott Davidson last week explaining the situation.
One member told the Herald: “CKG Galbraith has taken responsibility for the recent collapse in the tunnel which has caused the abnormal flooding to our golf course and will repair it as soon as weather permits. They are also surveying the rest of the tunnel for blockages.”
