Pensioner plunges beneath bus in horror accident

A WOMAN was rushed to hospital after she slipped and fell UNDER a bus.

The 69-year-old was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with serious leg and shoulder injuries following the terrifying ordeal, which happened last Thursday in Angus Avenue, Bishopbriggs, at around 7.45am.

The woman’s condition was described as stable and she has no life-threatening injuries.

Following the accident several roads in the area were closed, including Letham Drive and Falkland Crescent at Angus Avenue. They were reopened around noon.

Police say no charges are being brought against the bus driver.
