Police have confirmed that a possible sighting of a man missing from Bishopbriggs in Manchester is not him.
Manvir Singh, from Linhe Avenue, was last seen by his friend in Renfield Street, near to Sauchiehall Street, in Glasgow city centre around 4.45pm on March 19.
Enquiries were carried out after a possible sighting of him on CCTV images in Manchester.
Chief Inspector Rob Hay, from Kirkintilloch Police Office, said: “Although it is disappointing that the image released is now confirmed as not being of Mr Singh, every piece of information we receive is very important and it will be thoroughly investigated.
“The extensive search for Mr Singh is continuing and I would again encourage the public to assist in any way they can.”
Police said it is out of character for Mr Singh not to keep in contact with his family.
He is described as 5ft 10ins in height, of slim build with short black hair and a goatee beard.
When he was last seen he was wearing a navy blue hooded top with yellow markings on it, dark jeans and tan boots.
He was carrying a black bag.
Anyone who has seen Mr Singh since Wednesday, March 19, or who have any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Kirkintilloch Police Office on 101.
