POLICE have charged a 21-year-old man after he was allegedly caught driving without a licence and insurance while drunk.
The man from the Robroyston area was stopped by police in Robroyston Road at around 3.20am on Saturday.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old man has been charged after allegedly causing a racial breach of the peace.
The man from Barmulloch is said to have breached the peace in the Springburn Licensed Grocers in Hawthorn Street at 6pm on Friday.
He is then alleged to have returned to the store the next day at 3pm and committed a further racial breach of the peace after being unhappy about staff at the store reporting the first incident to police.
The man was apprehended by officers on Monday morning as he attended Glasgow Sheriff Court for another matter. He has been detained and was due to appear in court as the Herald went to press.
In a separate incident, two men have been accused of possessing cannabis resin.
A 41-year-old and 43-year-old man were allegedly found in possession of 125g of resin at a flat in Pinkston Drive, Sighthill, at around 6.50pm on Friday. Both men were detained in custody and were due to appear in court as the Herald went to press.
