Police charge 68-year-old and 61-year-old with drink-driving

TWO alleged drink-drivers have been charged – and they are both over 60.

Police have charged a 68-year-old woman with drink-driving. She was pulled over in Waterside Road, Kirkintilloch, at around 5pm on Tuesday, September 11.

Meanwhile, a 61-year-old man was charged with drink-driving in Kenmure Drive, Bishopbriggs, at around 8pm on Saturday, September 15.

In a separate case, police charged a 42-year-old man for driving while using a mobile phone, dangerous driving and various other road traffic offences.

The alleged incidents took place on Auchinairn Road, Bishopbriggs, at around 8.40pm on Wednesday, September 12.

Meanwhile, a 54-year-old man has been charged with driving while using a mobile phone in Waterside Road, Kirkintilloch, at around 11.25am on Saturday, September 15.
