The police are appealing to the public for information about a recent theft from a boutique ladies clothes shop in Milngavie.

A quantity of ladies shoes (value not yet known) and clothes were stolen from the Number One shop at 1 Mugdock Road, (next to Creature Comforts pet shop and opposite the new Garvie & Co bar and restaurant) on Thursday, July 7 at about 4am.

The stolen items have been subsequently recovered by Police Scotland officers and they are now following a positive line of enquiry.

However if any member of the public saw or heard any person(s) acting suspiciously near the shop either before or after the incident please contact Police Scotland with any information that you may have on their new non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 (to report something anonymously).

The upmarket clothes shop was opened in 2009 by former Scotland football striker Scott Booth’s partner - Pauline Macaloney.

Staff at the shop declined to comment when a Milngavie and Bearsden Herald reporter phoned them this week.
