Police swoop on unruly boozers in Kirkintilloch and Bishopbriggs

TWO tenny tipplers have been reported to the procurator fiscal after being allegedly caught drinking in public over the weekend.

A 15-year-old girl was charged with the crime at around 9pm on Friday, January 11, in Westergreens Avenue, in Kirkintilloch.

Then, in a separate incident, police swooped on a 14-year-old boy in Westercleddens Road, Bishopbriggs, at around 5.35pm on Saturday, January 12.

Meanwhile, a woman has been accused of being drunk and incapable.

Police charged the 41-year-old at around 8.20pm on Sunday, January 30, in Kintessack Place, Bishopbriggs.

In a separate incident, police have charged a 35-year-old with possession of cannabis and cocaine, and drinking in public, at around 12.40am on Saturday, January 12, in Eastside, Kirkintilloch.
