Police warn drivers – tread carefully or wind up in wheel bother
A STUNNED motorist is facing multiple charges of driving a dangerous vehicle after allegations that three of his tyres failed to meet minimum legal standards.
The 28-year-old man was collared in Woodilee Cottages, Lenzie, at around 6.35pm on Sunday, July 29.
Police say that two of his tyres did not have an adequate depth of tread, while a third had a bulge which made the car dangerous to drive.
By law, tyres must have a minimum tread of 1.6mm.
