Poor pooch found near Lenzie – but she wants to get home...

THE owners of a terrified dog found wandering on a motorway flyover are being sought.

Concerned residents contacted the Scottish SPCA after they spotted the distressed German shepherd on a bridge at junction 3 of the M80, near Lenzie, on Good Friday.

At one point the young dog, who has been named Cleo by the charity, ran onto the slip road.

Ashley Griffin, animal rescue officer with the Scottish SPCA, said: “Cleo was understandably very scared when she was found and it’s extremely fortunate she wasn’t injured or killed. She is between six and eight months old, and is in good condition.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact the SSPCA on 03000 999 999.
