Popular voices rising to the occasion
A FAMOUS choir is tuning up for its 89th annual concert.
The Kirkintilloch Male Voice Choir concert will take place in St Mary's Parish Church on Saturday, March 27. Special guest will be Maggie Findlay, from Carnoustie.
Conductor Sally McLellan said: "Maggie was the soloist for our joint concert in September with Arbroath Male Voice Choir, in St Vigean's Church.
"The choir was so impressed with Maggie's performance that we approached her to be our guest for the annual concert.
"We were delighted when she accepted and I am sure she will make a great impression with our audience."
Maggie's repertoire includes modern and traditional Scottish songs, light opera, popular musicals and show songs.
Tickets, which are priced 6, can be purchased from any choir member, Lynsey's Flowers in Catherine Street, Kirkintilloch, or by calling the concert manager on 0141 775 2437.
