Rail travellers have to take bus after passenger takes ill
MORNING rail commuters were forced to take buses to work last week due to a medical emergency.
A passenger took ill on board the 7.03am Perth-Glasgow train on Friday.
An ambulance crew rushed to meet the train at Lenzie Train Station, resulting in a number of cancelled trains.
A spokesperson for ScotRail said: “A conductor requested an ambulance and paramedics met the train at Lenzie at about 8.20am.
“The service was delayed by about 20 minutes in total. All services through Lenzie returned to normal by about 8.40am.”
