Resident wants action to be taken on shortcut motorists
SHORTCUT: Loch Road is one of the routes being used as a shortcut.
CALLS are being made for action to be taken to stop drivers using a residential road as a shortcut to the motorway.
A frustrated resident living on Old Aisle Road in Kirkintilloch claims there is a rise in traffic during peak hours,
He says cars and lorries cut through Old Aisle Road from Loch Road to access the motorway instead of using the main roundabout to Kirkintilloch’s Link Road.
At present, Old Aisle Road also has signs advising drivers that 20 is plenty but the resident claims motorists ignore the advisory speed limit.
