Part of a busy road will close for more than seven weeks at the start of the new year as work is carried out on Bishopbriggs Relief Road.
Westerhill Road will be shut from Tuesday, January 7, until Friday, February 28, from its junction with Robroyston Road to Wester Cleddens Road, which comes under the North Lanarkshire Council area.
Work will take place to build a new roundabout.
Alternative routes will be in place and local access will be maintained during the closure.
Taylor Wimpey West Scotland is building the third section of the road, which will extend from Auchiniarn to Wester Cleddens Road.
The road building - which got underway in July - coincides with the construction of 196 homes to the east of Miller Drive and Auchiniarn Road and is covered by a legal agreement as part of their planning permission.
It’s expected to be complete in around six months.
Phases one and two of the relief road, which are within Glasgow, are already complete and connect drivers to the Robroyston roundabout and onto the M80.
There will be five phases in total.
