Scotland boss calls for support in Kirkintilloch

SCOTLAND manager Craig Levein has kicked off a new charity campaign – 'Join the fight for women's survival' – and he wants your support.

Cancer Research UK's Dorothy Rodger teamed up with Craig to enlist the help of mums, dads, families, friends and work colleagues throughout the area.

Craig, whose father died from throat cancer in 1999, said: "Like so many Scots I've lost family and close friends to this disease. It is terrible to see the impact it has on families and it's so important we do everything we can to help beat it.

"Cancer Research UK is making huge strides in beating the disease, but they need your help, so I'm happy to kick off this campaign and I hope lots of people in Kirkintilloch and Bishopbriggs will get right behind it."

Cancer Research UK is the largest single funder of breast cancer research in the UK, spending around 45million on groundbreaking work into the disease last year.

This research is crucial, but also very expensive. Visit www.jointhefight.org.uk or call 08701 60 20 40 to help.
