Seeing red over drivers jumping traffic lights in Kirkintilloch and Bishopbriggs

DODGY drivers are going to end up causing a serious accident if they continue to jump red lights in Kirkintilloch and Bishopbriggs.

That’s the fear after a rash of near-misses across East Dunbartonshire.

One driver said: “These idiots are going to kill someone. The junction at Townhead is particularly bad – they just steam through when the lights are clearly are red.

“These aren’t amber-gamblers – the lights have turned red and yet they just keep going.

“Lives are being potentially put at risk because a selfish driver wants to save a minute or two off their journey time. You can see them speeding up when the light turns amber.

“It’s disgraceful and I hope the police clamp down.”
