Shock after man slashed in broad daylight in Kirkintilloch.

POLICE are investigating after a man was slashed on a busy street.

The 56-year-old man sustained a facial injury during the attack in Blackdyke Road, Kirkintilloch, at round 1.45pm on Wednesday, February 13.

It is understood that a knife was used in the assault.

A police spokesperson said: “At the time of the incident the area was busy with pedestrians and motorists and we are appealing for any witnesses to the incident or anyone with information to contact Kirkintilloch CID, either in person or anonymously.”
