She’s top of the tots - and the beautiful little winner of the Herald’s Cute Kids contest enjoyed a special lunch with her mum, grans and godmother.

Lucy May Carrigan was chosen out of dozens of tiny tots featured in the Herald’s pages throughout September and October.

Eight-month old Lucy May’s parents Emma and Richie, from Hillhead in Kirkintilloch, were delighted that she won.

Emma, her mum Heather Brown, Richie’s mum June Carrigan and Lucy May’s godmother Natalie Watson were treated to a lovely lunch at the Oregano restaurant in Bishopbriggs to celebrate.

Asda Bishopbriggs also presented vouchers to the family as part of their prize.

Emma (26) said: “It was a great day and Lucy May behaved really well and posed for the camera.

“Richie said to take both our mums and Lucy May’s godmother so all the girls could have a nice lunch.

“It’s kind of sunk in now that she’s won as we were really surprised.

“I never expected that when we entered Lucy May that she would win.

“The response has been amazing. I work in a takeaway and customers have been saying they saw it in the Herald.”

The Herald would like to thank the Oregano and Asda in Bishopbriggs for supporting the competition once again.

T

hanks also to everyone who entered the contest and to those who voted.

In an ideal world all the youngsters would be winners.
