Spring clean

THOUSANDS of locals will be taking part in a litter blitz in East Dunbartonshire.

The National Spring Clean is taking place until May 31 and more than 2,100 people have already signed up in East Dunbartonshire.

Head of roads and neighbourhood services David Devine said, “If there is a park, street, hillside, school ground, industrial estate or any other part of East Dunbartonshire you would like to help clean up, please log onto www.keepscotlandtidy.co.uk and register your support.

“You will be sent a free clean-up kit containing black sacks, clear sacks for recyclable materials, tabards and information to support your event.
